So, now that the base is a little bit firmer we're ready to go ahead and pull in the neck. And, the way that we're going to do that is just like with the salt cellar. You want to make sure that your left finger is underneath what your right hand is doing and supporting the clay as you pull in towards the center. So, my left finger is underneath this and I'm gently and slowly pushing in with my right hand. And, it's ok if your rim gets a little uneven. Because, you can cut it off with your needle tool. And, I'll show you how to do that in a second. This requires patience. If you try to push too much too fast, it'll fall in. So, you just have to do it several times. Again, always keep that left finger underneath so that you don't drop this down. And, once you've got it where it's just an inch and a half to two inches now you can move to the actual collaring and shaping of the neck.
