"So now the final step, I'm going to shape this into the actual form of the pitcher. I'm taking the rib and I'm pushing it under my fingers. I'm pulling one more ring of clay up. This is the final thinning step, and also gives you the shape that you're looking for. And you're going to get some clay on your rib, that's normal, it's good. Just take it right off. So that's almost the shape that I'm looking for. I'm going to do one more time. Just to refine it a little bit. So there we go, and I'll undercut that piece as well. You always want to undercut your piece before you take it off the wheel."
