"So now I'm going to tell you a little bit about the extruder. This right here is my extruder and the way that it works you put clay on the top, this holder right here hooks on to the bottom and it holds the die that you are going to use for extrusion. A die for a extruder is just a cut piece that fits into this holder, this is a multiple choice die and use this selector die to go over it and decide which one you would like to extrude. It would only extrude that size. I also have one that got a bunch of different shapes for handles from small to large with ridges, no ridges, all sorts of different sources. Another really cool thing you can do with the extruder is to extrude hollow tubes. If you look at this you would see the empty space here that is what it would extrude 1 continues hollow tube. So that could be really fun to. Another option if you don't want to use a precut die is to buy a die a hard plastic solid die and then you can cut it yourself. You can use a drill, a band saw, a jeweler saw, anything to cut out the shape that you want from the center. Now for our queso warmer we are going to use one of these preselected handle dies. So I would choose which one I want set it into the holder and place the holder on the extruder and now we are ready to actually extrude the handles."
