"So now that you got your plate center you can go ahead and swing that pointer back into position. The first step is going to be opening you are going to take your left forefinger. Get a little bit of moisture there, push down. You are using your right hand up against the edge, keep that clay from coming off center and pull towards your right hand. Keeping your right hand study now you do want to go ahead and check how deep that that is going to be with your needle tool which I did not have quiet handy but here we go. Stick that right down the middle and you would see on your tool that there would be a smudge is how deep that base is. You want it to be around a 1/4 of a inch. Because we are throwing to a pointer in this case we want to bring this floor out until the interior of the floor is just a little bit inside the pointer. Once you have down that you would take your hard rib, smooth out that floor. Get it nice and compressed and now we are ready to pull it up."
