"Hello, everybody, I'm David O'Donnel and welcome back to Expert Village lesson called Ventriloquism 101. In this segment, we're going to deal with the letter M. And as it relates to ventriloquism and an obstacle to the illusion of imperceptible speech. Like the other letters we've studied so far, the letter M, when it appears in a script, will need to be replaced. What we're going to use is the letter N--it's a simple substitution often used for the letter M. And again, to review, we're going to create a counterfeit to replace the M which requires movement of the jaw and/or lips. Okay, the example we're going to use is the word we're trying to say is mad. And as you see, we're going to replace it with an N. So, instead of mad we're going to say nad. Nad, nad, nad, nad, don't make me nad. I am nad. Nad, nad. Again, when you're saying the word nad, you know you're saying nad, but you need to focus on saying mad, so the more you focus on it the more your mouth will kind of construct the way it needs to to say the word--to give the appearance of saying the word you're trying to say. Again, it is an illusion, it's not rocket science. It's very simple and basic, but it takes practice, practice, practice. Thank you."
