DEB HUGLIN VOGEL: Hi, this is Debbie "The Roboteer." I'm here for Expert Village, and we're making a wire sculpture the way Sandy Calder taught me to do wire sculptures with one piece of wire. So far, we're making a lizard that's in honor of being in California. This is sort of a Gila monster. We've made the head with the eyes, the legs with their toes, and the tail, and then the ridges on the back. So now what we want is a nice, strong body for a lizard that can run like crazy out in the desert. So we want to wrap to the shoulder, and we're going to do a figure eight. So we're going to take this up here, and see, we're going to give it a little wrap. Just don't hit the toes; you can squish right by everything. Okay. And so what we want to do is we want to go to the hip on the other side, which is down here. We want to give that a wrap. Now, we're going to go back underneath, do the same figure eight, and come up to the shoulder. And what we want to do is go here to the other shoulder. Need a little more wire. We'll wrap that shoulder, go up to the figure eight. Can you see that it's a figure eight here? One, two, three, four. We're going to wrap it. And now we'll go to the other hip across from it. So here's the figure eight. Go back here. Double-wrap that and go back up to here. So now we have a lizard with a lizard body, and he's strong enough to stand up by himself.
