"DEB HUGLIN VOGEL: Hi, I'm Debbie "The Roboteer," and I'm here for Expert Village, making a wire sculpture of a lizard the way that Sandy Calder taught me to. It's all out of one piece of wire. Right now, we've got the head and three arms, and we're about to make the fourth one and then we're going to make the tail and the body. So we can kinda cheat and bend it around like this. You could see exactly what we were doing before. Now, we want to make the toes. Can you see how you just bend 'em a little bit and squish 'em? And there you are; you got the next toe. And then we'll have that little claw in the back there. You can squish 'em together. [INDISCERNIBLE] claw. And we'll wrap the leg up so that it goes all the way up to the body again. And once again, we want to turn the lizard and not the wire, so the wire does not unravel and make a big mess. So I'm controlling the feet of the wire from the big bale there. Where I come from, we call this haywire, and everybody knows you don't want things to go haywire, which means that they kinda come undone and gotten all over, and you'll never figure out how to get to just one end and you have to cut it up into little pieces. Okay. So now we're ready to go for the next phase."
