on 9/15/2008 This video doesn't tell us how to create the sound variations. He is showing us what they are, and very badly too. He also nforms us there is a wide variation od sounds, and only demonstrates two, probably telling us he isn't that good!!!

"Dennis Garrels with Expert Village. There's sound variations on the trombone. They might seem basic but there's a wide range of emotion and a wide range of meaning in the variations. There's legato vs. staccato. Legato is smooth in Italian staccato is choppy. My One and Only Love, that's a good song. Legato very smooth, romantic, ballad. How about staccato, that you think more like marching band. Oklahoma. That's got staccato in it. That's a musical comedy song. If you're not familiar with the genres of popular American music and now it's important to know international music we're in an international time that we live and there's exciting Moroccan music, exciting Chilean music, exciting jazz from Africa, exciting music worldwide. Chinese traditional music, Opera Beijing. Listen to as much music as you can."
