"This painting was made in Florence. Raphael Sanzio actually spent four years in Florence. At the time, Florence was probably the most important art center in the world. In the 15th and early 16th century there were so many artists living in Florence, who basically revolutionized art in Europe. What you can see here, this is a typical Renaissance painting, and the masterwork by someone who knew exactly how to use perspective, linear perspective I'm talking about, which was, again, discovered and first shown in Florence. And what you can see here, is the triangular composition. That is a new invention in Renaissance art."
