Video Transcript

"The building of the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest is a beautiful building. It was built in 1906 or turn of the century in historicist style. So therefore, no one should wonder if you can see a mixture of different architectural styles like Romanesque, or Renaissance, or Baroque. We differentiate between different halls by saying this is Baroque Hall, Renaissance Hall, or Romanesque Hall. So this is a building that was built in the Golden Age of Hungary during the Austria-Hungarian monarchy. The Museum of Fine Arts has many very good collections. One of them for example is the world-famous Spanish collection with wonderful artists like Velazquez, El Greco, Goya, or I could mention the Italian gallery with Raphael, with Cicione, with Giorgione, Correggio, and I could go on forever. And we've got modern French collection as well, with artists such as Courbet, Manet, Monet, Toulous-Lautrec, and so many others. We've got a big Dutch collection with everything from the 17th century, Dutch art in general. So please come with me and let's talk about art."
