Now, I’d like to talk about the materials it takes to do these projects, some of the things that you are going to need to have if you want to get started. Of course you are going to need the ceramic tile adhesive, as I said, this is available at your local home improvement store as is the grout and the grout comes in a wide variety of colors, pick out the color that enhances your project the most. This is just a regular clear cement and what I like to use this for are the marbles because that way the marbles still have their transparency and it isn’t blocked by the, the adhesive, the ceramic tile adhesive, your protective glasses. This is fun little tool, this is use after I’ve grouted everything, it’s just actually a barbeque skewer and what I do is, it’s a good way to get in between places to clean things out of my finished piece. Of course the hammer, as you can see, this hammer has had a lot of use and I live at the beach so it shows it. Rubber gloves to protect your fingers, just everyday ordinary rubber gloves, cloths, which you are going to see that we need to wipe off the grout that is on the piece. These are a variety of brushes that I use if I need to get into different crevices and cracks on the piece that I am working on because sometimes I work on very large pieces, sometimes they are smaller pieces, so I have different size brushes. This is how I organize the shards, I divide them into colors and I love these little plastic things that come with vegetables and fruit and they are just the perfect containers and this is a great way to keep your colors in order. So these are some of the tools of the trade.
