"Hi, I'm Eileen O'Brien for Expert Village in Suncoast Dance Academy and this clip we are going to demonstrate degage, now part of our beginners ballet series. My demonstrator is Joleen Stevens she is starting in first position doing the preparation with the arms. Degage comes slightly off the floor, the leg extends. Beautiful, beautiful stretch, pointed foot. Dagage to the side and the arm follows and degage to the back with a Arrière and she repeats to the side which again follow the routine of on quad meaning front foot, on side to the side. Beautiful Joleen. She finishes with a preparation of arms and that concludes our degages for beginners ballet. "
