"Hi my name is Alissa with Expert Village and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a Beanie. Now that I've shown you the double crochet, I'm going to show you how to do a triple crochet in a spiral. So at this point we've been doing a single crochet first and then a double crochet and we started off with two stitches per hole and now we're moving back to one stitch per hole now that we've got the size that we need. So you're going to get a good grip on your yarn, you're going to pull it with your pinkey over your index and hold it with your middle and your thumb. And you're going to go put your hook through the stitch, in front of the yarn, behind the yarn, and pull it through. At this point you're going to start counting to three, you're going to pull it through once, twice, and three times. And that's a triple and on the third time you pull it through both loops. I'll show you that again. We're' going to go to our next stitch because we're only doing one stitch per hole now. Put your hook through the hole, in front of the yarn, behind the yarn, and pull it through and then count one, two, and in the third one you want to pull it through both loops. So now you have two triple crochets. And this is going to be an even larger stitch than the double crochet, so the work will go by a little bit quicker because you're using more yarn per stitch and it will make a little bit of a looser weave. So I'll show it again. Put your hook through the stitch, in front of the yarn, behind the yarn, and pull it through and then start counting, one, two, three. So there's another triple. We'll continue on around in a spiral doing one stitch per hole until you reach the curve of the Beanie. So continue doing one stitch per hole with your triple crochet and once we get to the part of the Beanie that curves down I'll show you how to subtract stitches to make a good shape for your Beanie."
