Video Transcript

"Hi, my name's Alyssa with Expert Village and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a beanie. After you've made your slip knot, I'll show you how to properly hold you're yarn. You want to grab the yarn with your pinkie and then turn your hand over and put the yarn over your index finger and hold the slip knot with your middle finger and your thumb. I'll show you that again. You want to pull the yarn with your pinkie flip your hand over, put the yarn over your index finger and hold the slip knot taut with your middle finger and your thumb, that way you can stitch and everything will stay in alignment. I'll show you that one more time. Pull the yarn with your pinkie, turn your hand over, put the yarn over your index finger and hold the knot tight with your middle finger and your thumb. That's how to properly hold your yarn. In the next clip, I'll show you how to make a chain stitch. "
