"Alright, so the next thing to start thinking about if I'm just holding one of those brass tubes that we just cut for our bunraku arm control is how the puppeteer is going to be gripping this arm control. I've made a little grip and I didn't show you how I did it because it's really just that simple. It's a piece of one inch thick poplar dowel which I've drilled a slightly offset half inch hole into. And that's half inch so that it fits onto the end of my arm rod. I like the slightly offset because I like to be able to wrap, to sock my hand onto the grip so that it rests closer to my hand and my fingers. I don't know, it's a comfort thing. You can center your hole. It's a matter of personal taste. And what I'm going to do next is cut the small piece of wood out of this one-eighth inch birch, model aircraft plywood, also from the hobby shop."
