"So I've just cut this tube, this metal tube, on my band saw. That's mainly because I can't find my little pipe cutter. I bought this brass tube and the pipe cutter at a model shop, a model building shop, very handy resource for puppet makers. I can't find the pipe cutter. It's somewhere in the shop. So I used the band saw. But then I have to be very careful to sand, this is a sanding block, foam sanding block, the ends of those tubes. Because otherwise they'll cut right through the Dacron. So I sand, and they're sharp. So they would hurt the puppeteer. So, I sand the ends and then I'll also use either a circular, a tiny circular file, which I also can't find. I hope your shop is more organized than mine. Or a little teeny rolled up piece of sandpaper. Which I stick into the end of the tube. And I roll it around. And what that does is take off any burrs that remain on the inside of the tube."
