"So, next step in building the bunraku arm control is figuring out how and where you're going to insert your hasp in order to make the wrist joint. This hasp is going to be inserted into a slit that we're about to cut into this half inch wooden dowel, as you can see here. I'd be inserting this, this way. So what I've done is to use my clear ruler to find a centerline on this wooden dowel and then I've marked off where the end of that hasp hinge is. I should mention that I've cheated a little bit by whacking that hinge with a hammer a couple of times because the little tiny flange on the end when you buy it is bent. So, before you try to insert this into anything, whack it with a hammer, once or twice. Another important thing is that that hinge line be in-line with the elbow joint. And I'm going to check that. Yep and there we are."
