On behalf of Expert Village I'm Emily DeCola in Puppet Kitchen in New York City. Today we are going to talk about theatrical masks. So you probably notice that I went spontaneously silence in the last clip I did not speak. Due to entirely in fact that this is a full face mask, there is no punctures made in the mask for speech. Full face masks are not meant to be used by voice and I'm sure that there is people who will argue with me about this. But it is something that I believe. You can also build masks that are designed to allow performers to use their own face and their own voice in their performance. Either a 3/4 mask which come from the upper lip, up to the top of the head or a half mask that reincorporates the nose and the top of the head but not the mask. Those are 2 possible options in terms in designs and styles that allow you a performer to use their voice. You can also take off the top of the mask and just use the eyes. The eyes are key.
