"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Emily DeCola in Puppet Kitchen in New York City. Today we are going to talk about theatrical masks. So as I mentioned these masks on the table are from a whole bunch of different shows. These 3 on the right, these very elaborate fancy highly decorated to on the side are from the production of Revenger's Tragedy by the Globe Theater. They are meant to revoke carnival masks very decorated, very elaborate and sort of boric in their styling. Not particularly character driven in terms of trying to invoke a personality. But very highly designed for example these masks in particular were actually designed to have 2 sides. Not showing there was 16 of them in the first scene in this show. So what this is a example in using mask to make a generalize statement as close to a statement in character. "
