"Hi, I'm Emily Larew and we're going to look at hip hop lunges going to the side. So, to start this off, your feet are together, your right foot is going too actually out. Now, you can tell I'm not stepping straight to the side, with your toes parallel forward. When you go out, you want to take that foot that you're stepping out on and turn it in to your supporting leg. Your body is also going to turn towards your supporting leg. So try that again. Ready, here you go. So you're going to step out, bring it back together. One more time. Make sure you do put your weight on it though, and bring it back. Let's try left, here we go. So we're going to step out and together, out, bend your knees when you come back to the center, and together, out and together. Good. So now what I want you to do is we're actually going to do a little arm roll. Almost if you want to think you're in the canoe, rolling the boat. What you want to do is you want to make a little bit more funk here obviously by lifting your shoulders, so you're going to roll them forward and lift your elbows. So it's just nice and relaxed, I don't want you to be like this, so make sure you're just down, you're grooving. Two, three, four, rolling it as you go. Little rolls, okay. So add that with it, we're going to go slow. Six, seven, eight. So one and bend, roll and bend, roll and bend, back to the center here we go. And one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one two, three, four, it's just a little bit more funk here that you can add to your hip hop warm up. I also wanted to show you one more thing. You can add a little pop with it instead of it being flowy and rolly, so we can go pop, pop, and all you're going to do is your shoulders go up as your hands lift. So here we go. So we're going to do pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Good job. Those were hip hop lunges to the side."
