"Hi. I'm Emily Larew and we're going to look at hip hop lunges. So you're going to kind of think, lunges don't I do this at work out class and aerobics, but you also do them in hip hop. You can make them really funky and use them in your choreography or routine and just keep jamming at home. So, turning around, we're going to start with your feet together. You are going to do just like a normal lunge like you would in aerobics. So you're going to come forward, lean forward and push back. Lean forward on the left, push back. Now we're not really so concerned with form, like knees have to be over the ankles or anything like that. You don't want to injure yourself, but you also want to have a little bit more sinking into it because in an aerobics lunge you're holding yourself up. I want you to think you're getting down with it. Your body's lowering as are lowering into the lunge. So we're going to go down and I want your chest to come down as you go with it. So we're down and up, down and up. Alright. Don't hold yourself super straight. Now you're going to take your left arm with your right foot and what you're going to do, we're going to do a mini lunge so you can kind of put this together. You're going to scoop it; arm comes up, elbow and back. Reverse it, arm up, you lean and back. So we go straight out, you curve over, it looks like you're driving a car so your torso leans as your elbow rises to the right, go down, and left, straight up, over and back to the front. So we're going to go over and together, left, together, right, together, left, together. Always do something with your other hand like put it on your pants, put it on your hip so it's not just dangling here while you're doing stuff. Ok. Pick it up. Ready? Here we go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. So we're a little bit more funkier. Alright. Those are your hip hop lunges forward."
