Hi, I'm Emily Larew and we're going to start with learning our slide staying stationary. So, we're going to start with, your feet are actually together. We're going to step out and I want you to stomp with a flat foot. Don't be on the ball of it and don't be on your heel. You want to put your weight into that foot. So what we are going to do is we are going to pick it up and we're going to step out. I want you to pretend that you are actually going to walk away from this camera. So, ready, we're going to stomp again. So, you're going to go step, what's going to happen is you're going to pull on a flat foot, slide it back, all the way back, and as soon as the right foot hits the left, you're going to pop it up and sink into that right hip. So, let's try it again. We go, stomp, slide, pull back, pop. Good, try it again. 5, 6, 7, so we go, straight leg, pull it back. Make sure both legs are straight, pop. A lot of people are going to go stomp and then you slide it and you are bending your supporting leg. You don't want that to happen. So facing the front. I want you to see this as well. We go, pull, straight, pop, yes, straight and pop. So I want you to step into it, hit a brick wall, come back and pop. Good, try it to the left. 5, 6, 7, slow, straight legs, foot's flat on the floor, and pop. Straight, slide, pop. Good, so try it again. Straight, pull it back, straight, pull it back. So walk away, pull it back. Away, pull it back. Let's alternate. Here we go. Ready? 5, 6, 7, slow. Stomp and pull it in. Step, pull it in. Step, pull it in. Step, pull it in and I didn't know if you could see this but my body is also turning towards my leg that I'm stepping out on. You don't want to be straight. I mean you can do that but I want you to turn your body towards your foot. To get that extra robotic feel to it. Here we go, ready, a little bit faster. 5, 6, 7, so we've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Good those are your slides stationary.
