"DJ Trails, Hip-hop elements. Next we are going to go into one of the most important aspects of DJing which is music selection and party rock in. Number one is you just have to know your crowd, you got to know who you are playing for, you got to do a little research, you got to be creative and you got to be original. That is when spending the time, doing your homework and digging in the crates becomes important. As you can see you have to know what record to play for what people, so you have to have a wide variety of music everything from depending on the type of crowd you cater to or what type of events you are playing. I try to be very well rounded, so everything from funk to rock sole, hip-hop, electronic music and so forth. If you are a house DJ, you have to be up on the latest house, you got to do a lot of research whether it is on the Internet, from other DJs, listening to mix CDs. You really have to, if you are going to be good in what you do, you have to study your craft and be well-rounded. So if you are a hip-hop, you have got to have a little bit of everything. You’ve got have some for old school people, you got to have some neat old soul stuff, you got to have some conscience hip-hop. You got to have some top 40 hip-hop. You have a little bit everything with electronic house breaks, German base. This is good to be well rounded. If you are not playing the music that people, you are not going to rock a party and that’s it. "
