"DJ Trails with hiphopelements.com. We are going to go into beat mixing and beat matching basics. This will combine everything that we have learned thus far into one. Here we go. This is mixing two records together with different tempos. These are already matched to ease this up I will show you guys the idea basically. We have one record playing, we are going to get another record, first thing you can do is listen in the headphones and play with the pitch control until you have the exact timing. Once you have the exact timing, the easiest thing to do orderly is by matching your snares. So before I mention dropping on the one what I am going to do is use a snare, because it’s a lot easier for beat matching. So we are going to drop on the two or the four. If you wait every 32 bars or so, the beat switches, so here we go, I grab the snare and we are going to match it with the snare in this. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. Now we got both records playing at the same time. And that creates a flawless beat mix. "
