"DJ Trails with hiphopelements.com, Miami, Florida. We are going to go into queuing the record DJ basics. To cue the record basically we are going to throw the needle onto the record at the place we want it. We are going to listen now to the sound and if we wanted to drop the mix you would find the exact point and time, then you just gently put your fingers down. Now remember when you are holding the record you want to push out and in. You do not want to put pressure down. It is actually going to slow down the sound and eventually damage your record, so the key is to be very light handed and push out and in. We are going to find the sound we want. If I had another mix going, I would cue it up with the mix, I wait, I count my beats 1, 2, 3, 4 and let it go. If the beat goes off we could stop it again, cue it up wherever you want. It does not have to be the beginning you can cue it any point in the record. You can use the bass, the snare or any sound in between, whether it be a scratch on or something else, so is the same and that’s queuing the record. "
