"Hi, I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to draw the face. Okay, so in closing, for drawing the face, we've learned that the face is actually an oval. You have guidelines that you can use. The top of the ears are going to line up with your eyes. You can use the bottom of your nose to find out where the bottom of the ear is. You can use your tear ducts to find the outside of the nose. So you have lots of little tools here that you can use to get a more proportional face. And then you have shading techniques. Remember, when you're drawing the lip you want to draw your lines and curl them out to give this depth of the lip. On the nostril and the nose, you don't necessarily have to draw a big line to indicate there's a nose there. We know there's a nose. The nostrils and the ball at the end of the nose will give it some depth. And one thing about the face that I didn't mention is do not draw wrinkles when someone smiles because what you do is by adding just a random wrinkle, just because it's a smile line, it immediately makes the face look older. And in closing, I just want to point this out to you. If this girl was smiling, and I put these lines here, she looks ten years older immediately. So, anything you can do to leave those wrinkles out, do it, because, like I say, it just takes away from the beauty of the face and you don't need it. So, that's it for drawing the face. I hope you enjoyed it."
