"DAVID CLEMEN: Hi. I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to do an abstract painting. Okay, plopping the paint. This is something that I just kinda stumbled upon, I don't know, a couple of years ago. It's probably right before I did that piece, and I just take the tube, I don't even mess with the palette or anything, and what I'll do is just take a small plop here and just randomly pick some spots, and I'm going to start with my base color which is going to be this blue. And I'm just going to pick a few places, and you don't want to get too heavy on the plopping because you'll have a lot of excess and you know, you'll end up cleaning it but it's kinda part of this abstract painting anyway. It's kinda going to get everywhere, but it's also just kinda fun. So now that I've plopped the blue paint and looked at it and see if that feels like where I want to going to go with it, the fun part about it is you don't really know how it's going to turn out until you get to the end but every time I do it, it's--I put it in different spots. So I guess I'll add a couple more just for fun and then we'll go from there."
