"DAVID CLEMEN: Hi. I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to do an abstract painting. We are going to look at colors for this abstract painting for a room. It could be for a bathroom or for a kitchen. My kitchen is actually kind of a basil-colored green, so I might choose something to kinda complement that, maybe this mustard yellow and some white. And I could--I'll probably always use a black in there, and then I could bring in this burnt sienna. But it just--I usually try to stay with about three colors. You can go with an orange, a mustard, and a white. There's different colors that you can choose but I find that for me, I like to keep it simple and keep it around two or three colors and then also integrate some white and black as well on that. You also have your basic primary colors. That's kinda patriotic, which I would tend to stay away from, but today I think we'll probably use this blue, and I'll use some white and I will probably use this mustard color, which is actually considered yellow oxide, and then I'll integrate some black as well in that. And so, you know just you can look at things that are in the room and you can choose your colors upon that. If it's a bathroom, usually they're lighter colors. You can mix in some darker colors to accent maybe some trim or shower curtains or things like that in there. So, but the thing is it's an abstract painting so you can use whatever you want."
