DAVID A. CLEMEN: Hi, I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to paint a piece of glass inside of a frame. So in closing, when you're working on a glass piece, I just wanted to summarize up a few things. You can find glass anywhere. You can find--as long as it's not broken, but some people would probably use broken glass. You can use old tabletops from outdoor furniture. You can use old windows that people are throwing out when they renovate the house. You can use old doors from hotel lobbies. Basically, clean the glass and just keep in mind that you're going to paint--reverse when you're painting. So you want to paint whatever you want to see most prominently first, and then you're going to build layers behind that. You can use masking tape to--masking or artist tape to block out areas that you want to just keep as glass. You can use acrylic. I've never really tried oil paint. You probably could do it, but you just have to let it dry a lot longer. You also can use your X-acto knife to pull the masking tape when you're ready, and you actually can take the X-acto knife and you can scratch out parts in the paint if you wanted to kind of draw within the paint. So there are lots of different things that you can do, and it creates a unique piece of artwork, and it's fairly simple to do.
