"DAVID A. CLEMEN: Hi, I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to paint a piece of glass inside of a frame. Okay, now that I've got my theme and my subject drawn out or painted out and then I put some masking tape to give it some texture and some depth, I'm going to add the second layer of paint which is going to be viewed from the opposite side. And the top of the tree, I'm going to make green. So I'm going to get some green out and some black and then I'm going to take kind of a bigger brush here. And since this is a big, thick line of black, I can actually paint onto the black and you will only see the green area to the edge of the black. So I'm just going to come in here and dab this green paint. And now you wanna--before you do this, you want to let this first layer dry, but we're doing a show so I just want to kinda show you, and it should be fine 'cause I'm not going to paint too far into that line of black, but you'll get what I'm saying. And see, for the tree leaves, I'm just kind of dabbing it and I'm not going to fill everything in. But I am going to fill most of it in and I'm going to leave part of it clear for the green. And now, I might take some of this green out here and just kind of do some green designs around the edge of my first border and come around here. Okay. Then go all the way around the top. And now I've brought the border in and this is another--this is like a second layer of paint. I'm not going to even come in and do a green line. And see, what will happen is, when I pull that tape off later, you'll only see certain--you'll only see the parts where the tape is not of this green paint that I'm adding here. And so this is the second layer of paint."
