DAVID A. CLEMEN: Hi, I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're going to paint a piece of glass inside of a frame. You know, finding your glass, you can find it anywhere. This piece here, you see, I found on 52nd Street. I was walking home from work one day and it was actually in the trash. They were renovating a hotel and I was staring at it, staring at it, and this guy and his girlfriend were walking by, and he was--I think he was a Spanish guy. And he's like, "Man, don't think about it. Just take it." So I looked around and I grabbed it, and I ran home with it. Basically, it's a door from a hotel lobby and there are tracks on the bottom of the--there are wheels on the bottom of this glass. The glass is actually beveled, and I think it's from the '30s, and there's actually a key there. And so what I did was I painted on the glass and I redid this in gold foil. But you can find glass to paint on anywhere, and a lot of times, when people redo houses, you'll see them throw out the old vintage, antique windows. And so they make a really neat medium to work with. Also, what we're going to use today is--for actual supplies, we're going to use acrylic paint, and we're going to use some masking tape or artist tape, which is here. And this is actually a frame that I bought at an art store. So if you can't find an antique, you can still get an inexpensive frame and use the glass out of there. And we'll have--we'll use some paintbrushes. We're going to need Windex and paper towels to clean the glass with, and that is really about it for our supplies.
