Picking a Swipe for Figure Painting

"Hi I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to paint with acrylics the female figure. Now that we have our supplies we need a subject, every artist has a subject that they choose to draw or paint or sculpt and so forth. Today we're going to use a swipe from a magazine of a partially nude female figure. It's actually from a fashion magazine. I personally go to model drawing classes. In New York they have drawing studios where they have live models. This is what we're going to use today, it's kind of a darker image but it should turn out quite interesting just from the way the pose is and her back is to us and there's actually some props, a feather, and an interesting hat. We're going to attempt to do this and show you how its done and then we will go from there and this is the swipe that I've chosen for our painting."
