How to Use the Capo for Rock Guitar

" My name is Dave Jackal. I am going to show you how to use a capo. This is a fantastic tool. The capo acts like a finger playing a bar chord along your guitar. So that you can play open notes and any key you want very easily, so I will give you an example. Let’s say I want to play this. But I want to play it a little higher up and I don’t want to play the bar note because sometimes when you are playing a bar chord, it doesn’t have the same strength as an open chord. So what do you do? Take your kapo, throw it on the guitar like so and now you are raising your key. This is also a great tool if you are a singer and can’t sing in a certain key which is a problem I have sometimes, so I just cheat like this and I give myself a different key to sing in. "
