"I'm here to talk to you about how to create drum and percussion tracks in garageband. Now in order to create drums or percussion tracks in garageband there's two basic things you can do. One thing you can do is go through the loop browser and pick out a drum track that you like and then manipulate it to find to tune it and make it exactly how you want it. So here's the loop browser this gives me access to all the different loops in the library so I'm going to try out some of these different choices that we have here. Let's say I go with that one so I'm going to drag this drum beat into the main area here now here it is, it's a midi file and what I can do now is manipulate it and I can do that by double clicking on it. Then however I want I can move the midi notes around so I can click and drag these notes to create a different drum sound. So that's one way you can make drum tracks, another thing you can do is hit record and start playing along with the kit using my midi controller. It's not a very good drum part but you get the point and now I can go down here and move around the note how ever I want. So if you want drums and percussion in your garageband project and you don't want to bring in an actual drummer you have two basic options. You can either play out the notes or you can pick a loop."
