I'm here to talk to you about using the musical typing feature on garageband. Now musical typing allows you to have a mini keyboard like a piano keyboard on your actual computer keyboard. So go into window up here and select musical typing, down the musical typing dialogs opens up. Now the keyboard over here corresponds with the keyboard on your computer so as you play notes on your computer keyboard they appear up here on the piano. And the great thing about this is you can play chords, you can also do sustain by hitting tab and as you move this blue area around you can change the optive. You can go much higher, now the downside to this of course your very much limited in how many keys you have access to it any given time. If you want to go up higher you have to actually have to switch the optive, but he upside of course is that you have the ability to play chords you can do more than more notes at a time, and it's very easy to go back and forth. So musical typing is a great tool that garageband gives us when we're an airplane or train some place where we want to right down a song, but we don't have access to a midi controller, I would pick this one over the keyboard feature.
