"Hello! I’m Julio Anta of Anta’s Fitness & Self Defense in Miami, Florida. This is one of my instructors David Landrian-Shrewsbury, and on behalf of Expert Village, he will be demonstrating the lion dance drums and percussion. The lion dance begins with a bow, which is usually a simple drum roll, which begins like this. As the lion moves forward and then back. As the lion is stepping backwards, a series of notes is played as it moves backwards like this. When the lion reaches the end of it’s backup, then it stops and the roll begins again for the second bow. "
