"Now that we've established the clumpiness and the basic shape of the hair and the hairline, where that is, the next thing we'd want to do is create the illusion of the hair itself. Probably the easiest way is with either a piece of sandpaper or a file or even a rasp in order to create some of the details that create the hair. And again, we'll follow the same pattern of growth that we had before. Hair from here goes across this way and we will let the file create the fine lines and the texture itself of the hair. And you can see that that has accomplished what we needed to do. It's a whole lot easier than drawing in each individual hair. It's not necessary. We're not creating reality anyway, we're creating art."
