After having established the hairline, one of the things that we're going to do is I've come back in here and I've done a little bit of carving some more. Wiped out part of my eyebrow-that's okay, we'll come back in and fix that later-but I've done some rough carving, smoothing above the eyebrows and between the hairline. One of the tools that I like to use at this point is to bring in my 00 or 000 steel wool pad. You'll watch what happens to the surface here, how rough it is at this point, with my steel wool just go over that part of the skin and you can see that it creates a nice smooth, skin-like surface on here and take away some of the unnecessary carving marks from the process of using the Exacto blade or the Dremel. Very nice smooth surface to work with. We can use that on the whole part of the face now that we have the face fairly roughed out. And you can see that it takes away a lot of the rough edges and the unrefined details. Beginning to look pretty good.
