"I've just been working on refining the area around the nose, now we want to refine and define this area here at the upper edge of the lip and the very bottom of the nose. We're going to work on the part of the lip area here we're going to bring in this we're going to take this area down make it more sharp and we're going to refine this curve around the upper lips. So the first step is to come in with a cutter and cut under shape this deeper exaggerate it take it more beyond what we have in reality because it's a sculpture, just cutting here cut along the edge of that there and to take away enough that we have good definition here at this edge on both sides. Once that's done you can concentrate on making sure that's this area here has a nice rounded form and that little divot in the middle. So we do this if you scrape it you can refine this upper edge of the lip. So I just want to scrape this area there. It's actually kind of a convex shape that you are scooping out the area under that nose on both sides. And then a little refinement here and a little divot helps refine that shape then follow the lip. Follow that line of the upper lip to refine that to match the drawing or your model. That's looking pretty close to where we want to be."
