At this point we have the outer part of the ear shaped and it has been somewhat refined. Now I'm going to work on this inner little section, cut away the channel that goes into there, and build in this second area that echos this outer rim with a little upper area. So we're just going to cut back in around this part here, which is a little triangle. We're just going to cut an area that's fairly deep and semi-circular. And in the process of having done that, we have already established the beginnings of that inner shape and it's just a matter of doing a little bit of smoothing and refining in order to create that inner component that is important to making it look like a real ear. Then, because I'm dealing with an inside curve, I'll use my spoon carver. That's pretty close to what we wanted.
