Hi, we're cartooning today. We're drawing all sorts of animals and now we're going to keep the story going by adding some things to show what kind of story you are trying to tell with the kind of characters and pictures you are drawing. Now this dog all ready looks pretty excited. But how can we tell even more? Well, by drawing a word balloon or a word bubble. Just basically a circle with a little thing pointing to his mouth to show where it?s coming from. This guy could be saying, I want that bone. And that dog is pretty hungry. So, what are we going to do with that dog? Well, I'm going to make him running towards the bone, and we're going to draw it right here. Oh, that is a scrumptious bone! And he's running, he's running run run, as fast as he can. But how are we going to show that even more? Well since we've drawn the body, we're going to draw these actions lines. More action lines jutting out the back. A puff of smoke. And you know what? We're going to draw his tail even bigger. And draw these little quotation lines it looks like. And you can tell that is tail is wagging. So now that we've added object, speech and movement we have a better idea of what these cartoon animals are actually up to.
