"We're talking about cartooning today and we're going to move right along to the mouth. A basic smiley face is something that looks a little bit like that. We have our little smile ends there, little creases. Sometimes I like to add a little bottom lip just to show that he's got a mouth going on right there. If you want to have something more like an open mouth, I'm going to draw a little circle here, some teeth overlapping, little tongue action, and then we'll color in the dark area that is the inside of this person's mouth. That's how I like to draw teeth usually, but you can also add the lines to show that this guy has more than one row of white teeth. When we're talking about teeth, we can also draw. He's looking a little more pensive here. These little diagonal lines and then right in the middle where it intersects, draw a line like that. We've got kind of clenched teeth. I like to draw the lines around to show his mouth is kind of stretching open a bit. Another simple mouth. He's just very surprised. He's got an O mouth of surprise. If you want to draw something a little more elaborate, we're going to start with the same style and open the mouth a little more. Now I'm going to actually draw his teeth. Draw the line showing that he has some teeth. You see that his mouth is a little more open. He's got some gums poking out there. Here's a more elaborate tongue. If you don't know what that is, uvula. We'll color that in there. That's how you draw a mouth."
