Video Transcript

"Let's start cartooning. We’re going to begin with the eyes which I think are the most important part. Because the eyes are the window to the soul and they can tell a story all their own. Now the pair of eyes that I use most and that you will probably come across the most is the basic eyes that are like this. You will see it in the Simpson's or South Park and they're just two basic circles sometimes overlapping other times they can be like this, a little wider apart. But you just have little black pupils to signify, "hey these are eyes". If you want to get a little more extensive, we can add in the irises. You can color those in any color we like. And when we're talking about eyes let's go ahead and throw in some eyelids too. As you can see just drawing a line over this we can see that, that extra skin is that eyelid and it's coming down a little bit and kind of a sleepy character going on. Another pair of eyes is very simple and that is just the pupils themselves. The little black dots. And those are used in Hanna-Barbera cartoons or Charlie Brown. We have those little things right there. And that basically is how you get started by drawing a simple pair of eyes."
