"Another pose which I really like is called planches. Now these types of poses lend there selves with people with a lot of upper body strength. Most break dancing techniques face with some poses that are purely strength base and this one is purely stretch base which is good and bad. Bad if you don't have the strength but good cause you can obtain it if you follow these steps. So here we go. This is what roughly planch looks like again another example. You get the point what you are trying to do is do a super man pose having your body be horizontal only supported by your arms. Now a couple of drills to gain this type of strength are as followed. The first is doing push ups giant the wall. This is what I mean your legs, your feet are going to be against the wall. You are going to have to push with your shoulders to keep enough pressure on your feet on that wall. If it looks easy try it cause it is really not. You want to make sure that your hips are low and you can do this with a mirror or with a spotter or with a video camera. The higher your hips the easier it is going to be. The lower your hips the more you are going to feel it in your arms. The next drill is like so, you want to have your knees touch your chest and you are going to do a push up off the ground. So knees touch your chest get your arms position and do a push up. Practice those 2 drills and in a little while you would have the strength to be able to hold a planch."
