"Hi, I'm Danny Page and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. In this series I'm going to teach you how to draw basic cartoon characters. Alright, so the obvious next step in this character would be to create the nose. It just seems like the most logical thing to do next. You just kind of work your way down the face typically. So what we going to do is go back to our test page here. One thing about noses that you should know is when you're drawing a character, you know you got the eyes done, one thing about noses is, the bigger they are the more and the more detailed they are, the more old the character looks. So if I wanted to give a character sort of an old man type look, I'd give him a big ole' nostril like that. Where as if I wanted the same character with the same eyes to look a little younger, I'd give him a tiny nose and it's you know kind of crazy the difference that makes. Alright, so for the nose on our character, we're just going to do your standard swoop. Nothing too crazy. Pretty easy, doesn't call a lot of attention to itself and it's just you know kind of the safe option that we're going to be going with for now. So there you go. But feel free to go back to your other page and you know experiment with different types of noses you know for the different character that you might have in your head. For this character, I'm sticking with the basic nose."
