"In this clip, we'll be doing the eyebrows. The eyebrows, in my opinion, are the second most important part of the drawing in a particular character. The reason being is you determine the entire character's attitude and personality in the eyebrows. Aside from the eyes, they are the second most important piece of the puzzle. I'll go back to our test page. Let's mess around with a couple of different looks. If you're drawing a female character that has a fairly neutral expression, the eyebrow look that you're going to want to do is follow the arch of the eye. Up like that. 2 quick little swoops. You'll notice that most women have their eyebrows done, so the back of their eyebrows or the tops of their eyebrows tend to be a little bit thicker than the inwards parts. You see how I did that there. What you could do if you wanted to take the personality another direction is maybe give you a sort of hottie look. You can do something like that. It makes her either look curious or confused, or perhaps hottie or snobby. Moving on over here. If we keep them sort of low, she looks sort of bored or just not feeling whatever is going on right now. A sort of more glum look the flatter they are. There's no arch to them. They're lying pretty flat. She either looks like don't give me anymore crap or wow I'm feeling kind of down right now. There's a lot of changes that can be made by just flattening them out a bit. Finally, if you want to go for more of a sinister look, go in and really just kind of give them a little of an arch in there. This woman is going to end up looking kind of weird, and you can tell she's not going to be your standard beautiful character. You see what I mean. Changing the shape and the arch of the eyebrows really changes the overall look of the character completely. Going back to our main drawing. For the sake of this video, I'm going to keep our girl her very neutral as far as her look is concerned. We're just going to give her a sort of neutral regular expression brows. Although, it kind of looks like with the one I?ve done here, I've kind of raised them up a little bit higher than I normally would be. Our girl is going to end up looking fairly awake and alive. Normally, they would be just a little bit lower if we were going for a completely neutral, but I started up kind of high. You see how I did that? She's going to look a little bit more lively, this girl that we end up doing. You see what I mean with the overall look of the eyebrows and the character. Moving on."
