"Alright, in this clip, we're going to go over eyes, cause for my money, and I say this in all my different series, eyes are the foundation of the character. They're the starting point, and they are the point that will forever dictate the direction you're going to take your character in. So for the purpose of this series, I've given you three different types of villains, and therefore, three different types of characters, so obviously, we're going to have three different sets of eyes. Starting with our first pair. These eyes belong to Mr. Man-villain. The guy who is the most human of the three and the guy we're probably least afraid of. His eyes are going to look like, pretty much your standard cartoon eyes. Nothing too crazy about them, but they definitely look pissed-off. Which is obviously, his character is an evil character so he's generally not too happy about what's going on. And why shouldn't he be pissed-off? He's the least scary of the three. He has inferiority issues. Moving on to beast-man, whose eyes are roughly similar, but they are just a bit more slanted and therefore a bit more evil. A rule of thumb in the villain world, the more thin a person's eyes are, it either means they are a just a little more serious about how evil they're trying to be or they're a little bit more tired. In this case, it's pretty obvious that all three of our characters are different shades of evil. And the thing that we're going to do to our beast character to make him just a bit more threatening is we're going to make his pupils a little bit more rectangular-shaped. And therefore a little bit more animal shaped. It just gives him a slight edge over man-villain. His pupils are round and therefore less threatening. Beast guys are triangular and they just look a little bit scarier. That's just the way it works. These are little eye tricks of the trade. If you want to make them scarier, make them more like an animal, give them slanted pupils. Moving on to our really evil guy, we're going to start by giving him one long line like this and you're gong to build off that, because his eyes are not going to be very far apart. They're going to almost flow into each other. We're going to give him the eyes of a demon. His are going to be extremely narrow. Not only are they going to be narrow, we're going to apply another trick of the trade and we're going to first off we're going to start with giving him very, very thin pupils. But another trick you can do, if you ever want to make your character look incredibly mad or evil, or incredibly crazy, you give him the extra little detail in the pupils there, you give him, more than just little black lines or circles. You give him actual places where you would see the color of his eyes. It just makes him look that much more crazy or insane. Especially compared to the other guys, this guy just looks scary. I do not want to mess around with this guy. It is very unlikely he is going to say something funny. So there you go three different eyes. And obviously we'll build from there. But now you know, this is the place to start your character. Choose how evil you want him to be and draw accordingly."
