" Hi I'm David Cantieni and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to be showing you the many aspects of playing the Irish wooden flute. If you are interested in more information or finding out other places where you may find me you can go to www.digdigmusic.com or you could email me at digdig@cracker.com. There is quiet a lot of sudden that goes into playing stylishly in the Irish style and a lot of the variations are done by using various ornaments. What I will do is play a tune very simply with a very few ornaments and then I will show you how by adding ornaments there is a beautiful variation in the tune. This is a very common session tune called Sally Garden. Now I will show you with a ornamented version. Maybe I will start slightly ornamented and add a few more. Here is another tune that leadens itself to a variation both with ornaments and in some instances you can cut out ornaments. I will show you how that works this is called the First House of Connaught."
