" Hi my name is David Cantieni and on behalf of Expert Village I'd like to share with you some techniques for learning Irish tunes by ear. Here is the B part to Jackson's jig and it starts high so you notice here is the tonic. Now there listen to that. That is out of the key. It is sort of a interesting leveled spot there and that is all scaler. So the shape of it I think it is like that. Then it is going to get bumpy. Now here is the second phase. How about I take that apart a little bit more. I'll start at the beginning. There is your arpeggio. Right. You'll notice that this tunes there are divided into segments all on there on. Usually we think of a A part that gets repeated and a B part that gets repeated but often there are parts within those parts that it would be a question and a answer. You would have a statement and a ending or a part of the theme and the ending and then another the same theme with the second ending. With the B part it is particularly like that and then here it would send you right back up to the top and here is the answer."
