"So I would like to give to you another little clue to you from this chapter that I call 10 Reasons Why Musicians Fail and how not to. Be number 6 and that is you don't have enough money to record and promote your music. This is a downfall for so many artists. If I get a hundred phone calls and 90 of them will say, hey we just spent $30,000, $10,000 recording our record and it is ready for radio and we want to go tour. I'll say, what's your budget for that? And they'll say, oh, we don't have any money but the music is really good. That's the problem some people get carried away with that creative side, they haven't thought about this issue of making this record a business and they haven't gotten themselves an excel spread sheet and put in some number of how much money we have all together to spend on recording and leaving some money for the marketing, the business side of the thing. This is one of the key issues why band artists break up with their fellow musicians. Because if you come up to to a point where you put all of your money into the recording and the manufacturing even of that record and you have none left to do what we talked about earlier in this video. Promote it to radio, get some air play, get some Internet activity going on, touring. Where is all that money going to come from? How is all of that going to happen? You can get a clue now by giving you three of the 10 Reason Why Musicians fail. If any of it rings a bell, I hope you pay attention to them and address them. Because if your music is good, people love good music and why be wasting your time in not allowing us to hear your great music.l "
